A community-owned cafe, shop and gift store in the heart of the Highlands.

Located just off the A9 between Inverness and Aviemore – the perfect place to stop, relax, and enjoy homemade food, local produce, and Highland hospitality.

We offer homemade food, fresh baking, local products and everyday essentials in a warm, welcoming space overlooking the River Findhorn.

Cosy up by the fire, watch the trains cross the viaduct, and keep an eye out for our regular visitors – including red squirrels and woodpeckers.

About Us

Tastes of Tomatin is more than a place to eat. We are a community-owned cafe, shop and gathering point in the heart of Strathdearn — and we have made it easy to stop, explore and stay a while.

Charge your electric vehicle while you enjoy lunch. Hire an e-bike from the Strathdearn Hub just across the way and explore the glen. Bring the dog, bring the kids, or just pull over from the A9 and give yourself a proper break.

Whether you are a local, a long-distance cyclist on National Cycle Route 7, or a traveller heading north, you are always welcome here.
